The Summer Term at Marlborough Infants is well under way!

There are lots of exiting things happening at Marlborough Infants this half term...

Year 2 are diving in to their new topic 'The Seaside'...

 Year 1 are looking 'Round and Round the Garden'...

FS2 will continue their learning and looking at Traditional Tales...

(next half term - The Olympics)

and FS1 will be learning all about 'Magical Changes'.

Weather Watch! 

We are now well on our way into Summer and the days are slowly becoming longer with brighter mornings and longer afternoons.  However the weather forecasts are still uncertain, with sunny spells, but still quite a lot of heavy rain forecast for the future weeks. 

As a precaution we recommend continuing to send children to school in coats or jackets with hoods just in case the weather takes a turn for the worse during the school day.  If not, then the children can always enjoy a warm and sunny playtime with the option of leaving coats inside!

Can we remind parents that children are not permitted to wear sunglasses in school.  Please do not send your children to school with them, as they will not be allowed to wear them unless you have specifically agreed this with your child's teacher for medical reasons.

The entrance will now provide a safer and more secure entrance and exit to the school building which is a part of our mission to ensure the safety of your children while they are at school. 

In an effort to continue ensuring the safety of our children at school we have locking gates at the Burlington Road entrance.  These are open to parents at the start and end of the school day as well as at the beginning and end of lunch for those parents whose children go home for their dinners.  At all other points during the school day, these gates will be locked, but an intercom system is in place to let the office staff know if you need to come onto the site.

Opening times for the Burlington Road gates are as follows:

Open at 8:30 for KS1 children and parents, closing at 9:00

Open at 11:55 for parents of children who go home for dinners, closing at 12:05

Open at 12:55 for parents of children who go home for dinners, closing at 1:05

Open at 3:20 for all parents and children for hometime.
