Marlborough Infant's School Breakfast Club
The 'Ready Steady Go Club'
Marlborough Infant and Nursery School runs a daily Breakfast Club called the ‘Ready Steady Go Club. ‘
The ‘Ready Steady Go Club’ began about 8 years ago and has grown steadily ever since. It is run by Mrs Stoodley (Senior Office Manager), Mrs Akhtar and Mrs Bicknell (Teaching Assistants).
The Club offers children a healthy breakfast in a safe and caring environment. It also helps children to:
- develop social skills,
- participate in opportunities for additional learning through play activities,
- improve punctuality,
- be ready to learn when classes begin by improving concentration levels,
- and mix with a greater range of pupils of different age groups.
For parents the Breakfast club:
- promotes links between home and school
- supports parents who are working or studying.
We are open every weekday, excluding Teacher Training Days, from 8.00a.m to 8.30a.m. Children can be dropped off at any time between 8.00a.m and 8.30a.m. Parents must escort their children into school and ensure that their children are signed in at the school office. The last breakfast will be served at 8.30am.
The ‘Ready Steady Go’ Club is sponsored by the ‘Greggs Foundation’ and is therefore free to all children.
We offer an unlimited breakfast every morning, for example, toast, cereal, cereal bars, crumpets, pancakes, eggs with various spreads and drinks. The menu changes and is flexible as the needs and preferences of our children change too!
We also run exciting themed weeks linked to special events taking place in school throughout the year for example: health and fitness weeks, world cup and sports events, celebrations, book and story weeks.
There is always space for new members in the ‘Ready Steady Go Club’ and all children will be made very welcome. If you would like to join us for breakfast then please see Mrs Stoodley in the School office to secure your place.
